does anyone know how the low oil light works. i never had problem before but when i started my sled today my low oil light came on. the oil tank is full so i have no clue. it looks like it is plugged in everywhere. if the connection was unplugged would i turn the light on or not work?

The low oil light is turned on by a magnetic reed switch at the top of the oil tank. The float has a little magnet in a plastic straw, that when the float drops, the magnet moves closer to the reed switch and closes the switch and turns the light on. If you unplug it, you light won't work at all. Pull the float switch assembly out of the tank and see how it works. I had to slide the magnet down farther inside the plastic tube. to solve my problem just like yours.
