Just picked up 1997 Bear cat 454 2x4 I was looking the oil sight gauge while it was running noticed particles going by the sight window ... Do I do a oil change or could I just do a filter change former owner said oil was just changed..... 2.. can I use 10-40 oil/synthetic OR stick with regular oil I will not be using it hard mostly to get around my property, go get the mail.

Do not use any regular automotive oil. They contain friction modifiers which destroy wet clutches. Shell Rotella T6 is one oil you can use. Pick your viscosity range based on temperatures you run in. I use Cat ACX 0w-40 synthetic oil myself year round.
