I was just wondering if anyone had a cheaper alternitive oilfilter (brand and part #) then the over priced AC Filters? I ride an 05, 500 auto.

Thanx!

I can guarantee a cure for insomnia and hours and hours of reading if you were to google Oil filter testing. Many who claim to be in the know in the motorcycle community claim that Purolator is the best filter made based upon Total filtering surface area, Pressure drop, Construction, Particle size filtration and so forth, Closely followed by the WIX and NAPA Brand made by WIX. The standard Fram scores the lowest, all the other fall in the middle somewhere. Some filter testing show the Walmart brand of filters to be of very high quality and much better than Fram. But keep in mind Wall mart branded filters are made by whom ever has the current supply contract, which may change from time to time.

I use FRAM PH6018 on my atv's. They are a little shorter than the AC branded one, and cost a lot less.
