2006 arctic cat 400 automatic 4x4. Here’s the situation, this thing sparks one time. Hood blue fire. Then no spark until you stop the turn it over again one spark. Tryed a good cdi on identical machine and still one spark. Tryed the cdi on my hood one and it started right up so cdi is good same with the coil. So why only one spark? Thanks guys

03-06 400’s are well known for the magnets on the flywheel to fall off. Replacement ones are the updated ones. If you need, go to Suzuki for the parts as it’s cheaper. Motor is the same as an Eiger 400.

Would it even spark once if the flywheel magnets let loses? I will pull the stato wire plug apart and do a continuity test on stator and pulse coil. Does anyone have the range to pulsar is to be in? Also the stator wires

Spark can be intermittent. Service manuals are available to download from countrycat.com under technical information for your specs.

Thank you for the video and I am convinced now. I have checked all the connections you mentioned and it’s all good no bad plugs. Coil is known good and cdi is good fortunately for me I own this exact model as my customer so I just swapped and they worked fine on my machine. Looks like I’ll be getting a flywheel and I see Ricky’s stator has a complete kit with flywheel stator pulsar coil and new regulator and the flywheel removal tool. As long as I’m here I’ll give him the option. Thank you doorfx

You should consider pulling the cover to look before ordering. There could be carnage in that housing depending on how the magnets came off. It is worth dumping the oil and checking before ordering.

Might not need stator/might need more stuff.

You are right sir. I had the carb off because the needle was stuck and dumping fuel. While at the point shot some carb cleaner in intake. Turned over and got a backfire tryed to start but I was hearing a clunk and some grinding from the lower engine. Maybe to flywheel side. Was thinking to pull top off head and make sure timing is lined up also.
