Just picked up my wildcat X this last weekend. Dealer told me to drive in low & stay off loose dirt for 1st 10 hrs to break in the belt, any truth to it? I've talked to several people w/sxs mainly RZR's and they all say just drive it like your going to drive it. It's our first SXS & first machine with a cvt so just trying not to tear anything up.

The reason they said to stay off loose dirt is if your riding on it and give it enough throttle you'll spin the tires and the possibility of glazing the belt and clutch is greatly increased. I would take it easy for what they said. If you do ride on loose earth then take it easy and try not to spin the tires. Is your X 50" wide?

I'm not sure about driving in low. Last year I bought a 2012 Polaris Sportsman and it said if riding 7mph or below then have it in low but anything higher the high range. This was for break in. Someone else experienced with the WC will comment on the Low thing. Pics?
