For the patterns:

For how many. If all you doing is looking for better breaking then the 102 pattern will work. From there just depends on how much ice you come across or how much lake racing you do. The 153 is a good overall pattern.

No need fpr tunnel protectors.

Length of stud - 1.45 at the min and 1.575 would give ya better bite if your on the ice alot. Woody's Mega-Bite would be the stud to use and you need to use the tall nuts and metal backers. You will need a track drill. I made a template for drilling the double backers by using a piece 1/4" thick plexi-glass 1"x4" and drilled the hole so the track drill would go through.

KJ's (site sponser) has prices and everything else you would need. http://www.kjmotorsports.com/store/index.php?cPath=62
