I picked up a new crossfire 6 2011 brand new leftover. I got it because my wife's ski doo blew a piston.i would like to mod it so it would be even good for me to run.i may get a new sled next year, however I enjoy riding my crossfire 8.whats some mods I could do to it to make it better. in other words so it feels as strong as my 8 ,somewhat.

Ride it for a season and get some baselines like top speed, top RPM, etc. Then the first thing you can do is some clutch mods. That motor was one of the best 600s ever made. The only complaint would be they drink gas. But man, they sure make good power and are reliable. Congrats, you got your wife a killer sled.

Is it a diamond drive? If so do yourself a favor and pull the DD apart and replace the junk single row 6203 bearing on the transfer gear with the BDX upgraded dual row 5203. It will save you a lot of headache and expense down the road.
