In the latest issue of dirt wheels they talk of forest county receiving a grant to open up 10,000 acres for off roading. Doesn't give a date yet but its just what that area needs! Can't wait!!!

That is outstanding. Someone is starting to see the light! ATV tourism is huge $$, and it looks like they are recognizing that.

It is odd to me that so many counties in this state have not taken advantage of ATV tourism. Some allow very open ATV access like here (Douglas, Bayfield, and Sawyer Counties), and others are like a police state.

I always encourage people to come up here, the tourist $$ are welcomed, and the riding area is hassle free. Hopefully Forest County promotes the heck out of it.

Just think about how many people in the central US have ATV's and dream about being able to ride openly in places like we have up here.
