So I took my quad back to the dealer the other week due to hard starting, rough idle and back firing. They said it's probably a collapsed tube between the intake and carb. I asked them if they could adjust the timing as well because I think that could be part of the issue. The quad has around 1800km's and the timing was never checked.

So I get the ATV back and they said its fixed and they did adjust the valves. Great, except the quad ticks like an alarm clock now.

So the valves are not tight enough? I know over time they tightened with use. So should I not worry about it and let them tighten themsleves up or do I need to adjust them.

I've never adjusted the timing on a quad. But I assume its like any other 4 stroke?
