I would also like to ask the question for a 96 EXT (non ETT tunnel)[/b]
I can help here. If you are wanting to put a '97 or later (ETT) skid into your EXT, you can do it, but you will need to re-drill the mounting holes for the newer skid. The instructions to do that can be found here:

Skid Swap

If you go this route, I would suggest a 2000 or later skid, as the rails are reinforced and a lot stronger.

As for your ZL...I would think that any of the later model year ETT skids would bolt right in.

I would liek some clarification on this. Is 97 the first year of the ETT and TSL. I know that in 2000 they changed the design of hte rails to make them stronger. Woud I get the same ride from a 97-99 compared to 2000-present othere than they aren't as strong?!?! Is there the same ammount of travel form one era to the other. Does anyone have any thoughts on which is ultimately better.
