I picked up a nice little Vintage Cat Drag Sled today.. I payed a bit over for a vintage sled value now days. But I could NEVER build it for what I paid.. Chassis is from tail to nose all custom built Aluminum ( DONE CORRECT) !!! Real nice !! Suspension all Grass Wheels, NO SLIDERS... 500 reed valve cat motor Ported, shaved heads 10.000. Machined Stator cover.. Polaris clutching, Machined ramps and helix.. AAEN pipes Lots, more etc... Sled Cover, two seats... Formula Plus hood like mine. Somebody put LOT of $$$$ in sled in its day. ****er sounds CRISP !!! $2000.00 I gave him. He delivered it here. I'm going to put it in basement. Strip it, Polish and buff entire aluminum chassis head to toe, Then polish buff motor, clutching, clutch cover etc... put on other seat, flare the tunnel rear is all, call it done. Take me entire year at least polishing aluminum etc... Needs nothing.....

Great find for the money Team Rotax! Have a sound bite? One question is…does it get the wife’s stamp of approval? Mother’s polish will have this sled look’n sweet..although time consuming. Polished the secondary clutch on my last sled, took at least four hours to get it just right. Enjoyed the pics. Will.

It;s in my BLOOD, GENES etc... Not my fault LOL !!! She will put the brakes on if I get out of control though...I do that often at times when I even know better, but can't help myself even knowing it's a bad idea LOL...

So it was in the high 40's today, thought I would look the little 500 drag sled over, then test it in yard. I noticed the ski leaf springs are SHOT about FLAT out LOL... On the trailer I can just BARELY slip my hand under the belly. Sitting in the lawn I would be giving the earth a crew cut on bumps LOL.. Would be fine on ice drags, but grass drags is a FOR SURE endo flip !!! To dangerous, so ordered new leafs.. Look at difference in leafs on both sleds. And thats a heavy 700 motor sitting on top of the good leafs...
