Haven't seen it posted here yet. So here it is. Dirt Trax TV's Test ride on a Mudpro. In short they like it. Last 1/3 of the video. A quote from the video. "The Mudpro will go where any other stock atv cannot go"

The only knock they have against AC everytime is the ride comfort. For #*&^ sakes, its an ATV, not a Cadillac!! I'd choose GC over comfort anyday! Watching that show ticks me off, Cons on the prowler H2 was that it was "scary fast"! lol You don't have to watch that show for very long before you realize who the major sponsor of it is! I only wish they would give non bias reviews of the machines, for the most part the show is a crock of :turd: IMO!

+1!!

I posted that very issue(s) a few wks ago with regards to their review of the 550. 1st they liked it.....then they didn't in their 550 shootout a few wks later.

They definately got a "chubby" for POLARIS & CANAMS and let's not forget YAMAHA. And for stating they are the most "opinionated" ATV show out there....I've noticed that KAWASAKI & HONDA are curiously absent in their product review(s). So that begs to question just exactly how do they BASE these opinions w/o bias??

Too bad. GREAT show idea. Excellent photography. POORLY produced.

Am I an ATV expert - NO (tv commercial photographer - YES).....but I did sleep in a Holiday Inn Express last night.....

I saw that show too and was a little pissed that they woud not even lock the diff to get out of the mud. He said it was a great machine as far as power goes but the bars wanted to rip out of his hands. Does he have little girly hands or what. I ride mine with 12 wides on the front and have never had the bars pull out of my hands even on the rutty stuff. Hell most of the time I ride with one hand on the bars and one holding a cold beverage!! I guess if the Dirt trax riders can't handle a real machine they should stick with Polaris.

He would have done a lot better with full diff lock. He could of pulled right through that mud. They like the Arctic Cat's best IMO. They always have them in the front and are usually sitting on one of them or tinkering with it during introductions.

Guy is a total pansy lol. Needs power steering on a pure mud bike come on. I agree a bit with the drive shaft issues but i have yet to break one of mine with 28s and i get stupid on this thing lol. They are total Pansy's tho they just want a couch with wheels.

Pansy, huh, that explains a lot. Probably why he is in love with the Canned-Ham's with power steering. Every show when they have one on he's like "this is the best atv in the world" humper .

I really wish a show would come about in which they took absolutly NO money in sponsorship from any of the atv manufactures, maybe just from aftermarket accessory manufactures and parks, then maybe you would get a good review from some of these people.

I thought they actually did a pretty good job on the Mudpro test drive or review. They gave low marks for the same reasons I've seen many Mudpro owners here have complained about. Such as weak axles and not the greatest trail manners and gave great comments about it's true purpose, MUD, Stating that QUOTE "It will go places where no other ATV will go." Granted I also think the guy could of made it through the hole if it would of used 4x4 lock. But he didn't, Maybe he did make it through in 4x4 Lock and wanted to see how far it would go in 3 wheel drive and the rest was edited out?? So what? He did say it would go further through any hole farther then any other stock machine. Even those with auto locking front ends such as CanAm and Polaris. Like it or not Power steering does improve overall generic ATV user experience and comfort. But in my opinion Power steering may need to evolve more before I add it to the list of features I must have.

Past reviews on the 550H1 and the Tcat by Dirt Trax was pretty much the same. Great machines with Great power, Great clearance, Great styling, with Great gnarly off rode capabilities but not for everyone because the handling isn't up to par as some of the rest. Why do they say this, Because it's true. When it comes to overall ATV experience, the best machine for all reasons, I too would pick the Polaris XP, But I wouldn't own one, Because... Where I think it really matters the Cat is better and still good enough where it falls short. When it comes right down to it, In the areas where they do in fact rate Arctic Cats as superior is why I ride Cats, you too I bet? If those areas were not personally important I'd be on another forum for some different brand.

I will agree that it would be great to have truly unbiased reviews and unbiased news media. But that would NOT change a thing about the comments and reviews Arctic Cats ATV's get, Members here and reviewers alike would still complain about Cats Steering, Handling, Harsh ride. But the same would still praise the cats True off road use such as; Great rock crawling and Mud capabilities. Truly Unbiased journalism?, Probably the only thing it would of changed is our current president and current liberal congress. Nearly every liberal voter I know does nothing but regurgitate the Biased Liberal Media Buzz words and phrases and have never done their own thinking. But what the hell I hate all politicians anyway, I'm not a conservative Republican. I'm just anti Socialist. I used to be a true Blue Democrat at one time.

In other Cat models that have been reviewed by Dirt Trax, They always stated that a Cat is not for everyone, We all know that, But They always if you play in the mud or crawl over rocks, put lots of weight on the racks then an Arctic Cat deserves serious consideration. Hell if all I did was ride easy smooth trails, I myself would ride a Honda or Polaris. It doesn't disturb me how they rate the Cat handling. As a Cat owner, I know there are better riding and handling machines. I've ridden most of them out there and many handle better than a Cat, Way better. However many of those better handling and riding machine cannot follow me when the going gets rough. And if they try, they send me first so I can pick the line or winch them on up or through.

Each make of ATV has it's own niche that they are know best for. If they were all equal in all categories That would ultimately result in only a single brand available.

Also i totally agree with you on the dif-lock it woulda locked up and made him look like an idiot when he didnt use it...lol

Noticed near the end when he was in the mud hole being winched out, the first time, not the second, his front left was spinning but his right rear was not and for a long time. The SLD should not be clicking with those tires and in that mud. I bet he broke an axle, lol.

I know we are dedicated to our product line. So i understand wanting more people to buy cats.

We as cat owners know what the cats can do. Why are we looking for an ok from some guy who gets paid to tell us we done the right thing in buying a cat.

I more then most beat my cat. If it wasnt for it being a tank, and having the suki engine it that it does, i would have blown it up by now. Cat has only improved their engines with their own. Still that being said, i am happy with my bike. I would be happy with just about any product that cat would bring out.

I didnt buy it for comfort, i bought it to work. I needed something as tough as me to do the work i needed it to. It has saved me, countless hours and so much back breaking work, the bike has paid for it self. Even though it isnt paid off.

Personally i dont need some one to tell me that i bought a great bike. I knew that before i even went and bought it. I had done the research for my self.

yeah i also noticed the rear wheels not spinning. most likely broke an axle[/b]
SLD slips in thick stuff or even just water and thats what happens to the rear wheels on the both the T-Cat and MP, don't even have to touch the gas very hard, if that POS SLD is submerged it does not take anything to make it slip. Mine is pretty tight on the TC, it takes a little to make it slip but it will, I hit the water in gravel pit nice and slow and just crawled slowing like idling at 5mph and it was going click click click and the rear wheels would not turn, but the fronts would, thats exactly how people are blowing up front diffs to.

IMO the Mud Pro review was the best so far, I actually enjoyed watching this episode, but I have noticed you can pick out witch one is there true favorite just by watching witch one they are allways around, looking at, riding, and the one in every shot, the cat is always in more of there pictures then the other brands when they are all put together, I think they honestly like the cat more from there actions but get paid well to say the other is better.

You may be right. They had an episode before they aired the MP test that they showed how to replace an axel on the MP. If they don't air them in order that's probably when they broke it. If I recall they were replacing the right rear.
