Beginning in 1980 Model Year, the world standard became "Globally" based on how a vehicle (anything mobile that had a "title"), short of "Sleds" at that time (Naturally), used the 10th POSITION in their 17 CHARACTER Vin listing as how to determine exactly what Model Year it officially was....

Below is a list of 1980 through upcoming 2019 and its "10th" character...

1980: A
1981: B
1982: C
1983: D
1984: E
1985: F
1986: G
1987: H
1988: J
1989: K
1990: L
1991: M
1992: N
1993: P
1994: R
1995: S
1996: T
1997: V
1998: W
1999: X
----------
NOTE: Sleds began using this in 2000 with the "Y" as the 10th character

2000: Y
2001: 1
2002: 2
2003: 3
2004: 4
2005: 5
2006: 6
2007: 7
2008: 8
2009: 9

2010: A
2011: B
2012: C
2013: D
2014: E
2015: F
2016: G
2017: H
2018: J
2019: K

Note: the letters: I, O, Q, U are not used due to the possibility of them being confused with other alpha or numerical markings....

(There really wasnt a use for the "Z")

I didn’t pay attention to where it was when I searched for it for THerman in his vin help thread.

660, it was in sleds pinned topics at that time. I added it to ATV pinned topics after noting I’d never posted it there.
I've looked in pinned topics and there is a few threads that shouldn't be in there. Looks like new members accidently started threads in that forum. We can get doorfx to move those as he's always looking for something to do lol. He can do the atv forum.
