I have a buddy that has a m1000 no matter what we do we cant get more than 6900 rpm on it when its a hard climb. dont know what to do to fix it. it has 60 grams in it but still cant get rpms but on the trail it runs good? if you have any thoughts would like to know them

I am not a tech by any means But sounds like your belt might be slipping is there a lot of black oil looking material on the left injector housing if so your belt might be glazed and slipping to much. after i soaked my belt in hot Dish soap and scrubbed down replaced it i was back to pulling 76 ish on a good pull.

More than likely it is the exhaust valve cables. Take it to your local dealer, as the retaining clip was probably installed improperly at the factory and the cables are cut. Then change your weights back out to stock and it should pull more rpm.

Found the problems the plug wires were cut when they put the engine in and the senser the pipe was also Bad RUNS LIKE A CHAMP NOW!!!!!
