I just got this sled about 150 miles ago, or more. and I went to start it the other day, and I noticed, the left cylinder, was "tapping" and it was not warming up. I got spark and fuel, I also noticed that there is some "movement with sound" when I play with the Primary clutch sheave. I thought maybe it is a Rod bearing or the counter balance bearing. Can anyone shed some insight to "How Bad it Is?" ikind of wanted to get some parts coming before I tear into it.

you must do a compression test on the cyclinders and compare them. this will eliminate the piston, jug , rings and head.

Take the exhaust pipe off from that cylinder. Look into exhaust port with a light and check out you're piston. Move piston up and down so you can see the rings and the top of piston. On to the good news. There is no counterbalance shaft on the triple 6.
