I've seen limiter staps wear on a regualar basis. I just check the regualarly and replace whenever I see wear. On a two strap set up you can probably just change one at a time. If it seems tight, wrap a ratchet strap under the track over the seat and suck it up until you get a bit of slack in the limiter strap or just get a freind to sit on the sled. A freind of mine even caries a spare cause he broke his single one while riding.
