Helped a guy out and bought my first Arctic cat a 1997 ZR 580 EFI. The speedometer does not work? Anything I should check first, second, etc.? Thank you in advance.

more than likely the driveshaft bearing is shot. you will be able to see this if you remove the speedo drive. from under the secondary clutch. (it is easier if you pull the secondary off)
