what numbers would I use for 8 and 7 tooth drivers. for those of us who run them deap lug tracks. I was thinking...

if 10=25.2
if 9=22.68 (25.2-22.68="2.56"")
then 8=22.68-2.56="20.12"
then 7=20.12-2.56="17.52" Is this correct or am I totally off..and also I am writing a program for those of you without excel it will be in .EXE format made using the program "game maker"...haha its used to make games but I can write the code that will give us what we want and I can make a user friendly interface to input your sled specs and it should be under 3 megs and it will be vista compatable

Hi,
Here are some specs for 2.52" pitch drivers:
10 tooth=25.2" circumference=8.021" diameter
9 tooth = 22.68" = 7.219"
8 tooth = 20.16" = 6.417"
7 tooth = 17.64" = 5.615"
Formula is: number of teeth X pitch = circumference / 3.1416 = diameter.

Later .......

Think about gearing like a mountain bike....top gear is like increasing peddle gear size and bottom gear is like rear wheel decreasing gear size...eg. decrease bottom size..speed increases.
