Im putting Ice screws in my stock tires.
Cat happy Rockerdude Was wondering how many I will need to put in each rear tire to get enough traction to pull the front tires off the ice?

Thanks,

As many as you can possibly put in there! I had a set of ITP holeshots for my old Polaris Scrambler 400 4X4 (2-stroke) and it still spun like crazy with the tires loaded. It was a verry snappy machine though because I had a pipe, silencer, clutch kit, bored carb, and milled head..... You realy want a flat profile tire so you can put as much of it on the ice as you can. If you air down too much, you will loose the ammount of pressure that you need to "push" the screw into the ice for maximum traction... But. anything will be better than nothing! Good luck!-Craig :beer_cheers:

I race a sport quad on the ice, and last year I had 1200 screws divided between all four tires. That wasnt enough for racing on chewed up ice, but it was plenty of traction for regular ice. Hopefully that helps
