Hi guys, I'm trying to set-up a '77 Pantera 500fa for cheap. The stock class has no regulations on amount of carbide or studs, just that you use stock skis and leafs. i didn't have much luck finding any carbides that were a direct fit, except for Bergstrom, and they were out of my price range. So snooping on ebay, I dug around to find the best deal, regardless of application, figuring I will just drill the skis to fit. Should the carbides be centered under the ski pivot, favoring the front, or favoring the rear? The carbides are 10"

Thanks
Alex

52/48 (rear/front) is ratio Woody’s uses for their 60* race ‘bides.

Couple friends tried 50/50 on their 440 MOD,, didn’t go too well testing on local lake that day... They were quickly educated that it’s better to have to fight resistance in corners (from rear bias fighting their efforts to turn), than to roll sled at over 60 mph headed towards a corner (from fighting worse darting they’d ever experienced)
