I see there are a lot of posts on switching from Brand A to Brand B oils, how to do it correctly, etc, etc. All you have to do is this. Take a clear plastic drink bottle, cut the top off for you have a nice round throw away bowl. Take maybe 100ml of Brand A oil, add 100ml of Brand B oil, Mix and let stand. Check the mixture in an hour. If the oils haven't separated, good to go, add new oil to old oil in your tank. If you can see a distinct separation, its best to completly drain tank before swapping oils.
Hope that helps!

Great idea ... but there's still no reason to worry about mixing if both oils are of equal rating. I'm not saying mix half & half or some other obscene amount .... I'm saying run the original oil down to the point where you know you'd normally add oil. Then add your new oil and be on your way. And, as usual, keep an eye on your fuel:eek:il ratio for good measure.

I do like your idea though - very interesting & simple to do.
