I know when the first generation firecats came out the Z (Z,ZR,ZL) chasis sleds still held there own pretty good. Besides my sleds (Z, and ZL) the newest non Z sled I've been on is a 2003 f5 so I don't have good judgement. How do the Z chasis sleds stand up to the current lineup of sleds for all manufactures (power, suspensions, appearence, fit, etc)? Are the Z chasis sleds way out of date with todays technology in your opinion?

Obviously depends on the rider first and foremost.

With the Z sleds, I've been running them since they came out so I know what I'm getting. 11-12 years of experience on the same chassis lends to knowing exactly what you have and how to ride it.

Haven't ridden anything that blows me away yet so I'll keep my ZR til that happens.

'Diminishing returns' IMO.
