Pics of extended bolt shanks should be self explanatory, lawsuits waiting to happen.

Striker positioning seriously flawed?

these strikers are as low as they can possibly go, yet the doors lock is hard to close and open.
You have to lift the doors to both, get doors to close properly, and to release in a safety mannered exit.

Neither of which is easy, I must say.

Did the directions say to install the bolts that way?

Wasn't me that prepped it. Besides, bolt/nut combo is not the problem.

Strikers height location is the issue. No way it can be lowered to accommodate proper positioning for latch alignment.
There must be something wrong. The one I looked at, I was quite impressed with how nice the doors closed.
Upside down, right side up, bolt/nut direction changed, no difference. The release lever comes close to bending from pressure required to open the doors on this unit. And closing them requires quite the concentrated effort.

Like I said, I was not the one who prepped it. But, I did check it over for any possible solutions to this, and there aren't any without modding a brand new unit!!

Gorgeous unit!

Just :turd: engineering quality in this one area (besides excessive bolt lengths) without rubber snubber caps (like Honda uses on their Pioneers)
