Ok I am new here and have no idea the best place for this message so i thought i would just post it here..(BTW my name is cameron)

its a 1990 pantera 440 electric start.

Ok so my friends sled is having a strange issue it seems.

His sled starts Every time on the first pull. And runs strong for about 10-15 seconds, then suddenly dies as if something is hitting the kill switch.

During that 10-15 seconds you can rev it up, and even drive it….but then it dies.

You can “recover it” if you open the throttle all the way, but the moment you let the rpms drop it will die…

Where should I start looking to solve this problem?

(I already searched for fuel line leaks and there are none)

Any help i owuild appericate.

Glad you found us, Cameron. Clap

If opening the throttle all the way will recover it, that tells me the sled is flooding itself out, and can't keep up at idle.

I would check the floats and needle valve first.

Does it die after you close the choke? That could indicate a plugged pilot jet. A good carb cleaning would help your buddy out.
