Hi, I have a 1999 ZR 700 with a fuel problem.

Was there anything ever said to relocate the fuel pump?

Does the impuse line force air into the pump or does it suck (vacuum)?

I can get my sled running by pouring some gas down my cylinder or by forcing air trough my gas tank, but once I start going she runs out of fuel and will not start unless a repeat the same procudure. I rebuilt my fuel pump witch is located on my air box but didn't seem to help. I also changed all my fuel lines and impulse line, fuel filter, cleaned out my gas tank and made sure there was no resrictions. I also had my carbs vacuum tested.

Any help would be good

I assumed you checked to make sure the impulse line is straight with no kinks. Do you see any air bubbles past the pump to the carbs. Is the fuel filter going the right direction. If there is no fuel in lines to the pump than it is either the pump or it is getting air. Maybe the lines are pinched behind the airbox. Also check to see if pump sucks fuel if lid is off tank, if so maybe the tank vent line is pinched.
