My buddies have an F8, F1000 and an 06 Apex GT. They all want to race on the lakes this week along with another guy who has an F7. All the sleds are 100% stock, even no studs. How will they compare? I hear the Apex's are fast, will they take the F8 or F1000 when it comes to top speed?

apex 2000 ft 115-116 mph

f8 2000 ft 110-113

f10 2000ft 116-120[/b]
Not to argue with ya, but there's a lot of people out there (myself included) who own this year's F8 .... and I find it hard to believe that thing tops out at 110-113 in 2000 feet. Maybe on glare ice it'll get up to 105 or so, but 110-113 seems to be a bit of a stretch. Again, I'm talking about out of the box stock.

Labonte, the 800 will run 110-111 IMO in 2000' GLARE ICE. At the radar I was at this year I saw one go 111. I THINK it had a y-pipe, clutching, BD box. So not box stock, but certainly not making lots of HP. It was BMP prepped so probably running about as fast as it could have. My F7 ran 111 that day also in 2000'. Clutching is about it on mine and 1.375 track.

Throw a little snow in there and it will get ugly for the F8 and F1000.

Yep - like I said Chris "out of the box stock". I can believe people are getting those numbers with a few simple add-ons, but I just think a 2007 F8 that's 100% stock is going to have a hard time matching up with a F7, and Apex, or the F1000. Especially if there's any snow in the picture - which is very sad bang your head

Apex and F8 will be even till 85-90 or so then the cat will pull away some if it is a long run the Apex may start to the catch the F8 after 110mph if there is room left on the lake the F1000 will say see ya to both.
Top speed (acording to snow goer spring 07) 1340ft
F1000 104.89
apex 99.77
Mach Z 108.95

Another 660 ft sould get you another 10mph or so on top.
