Hello, i have the f1000 and it has bad top end speed. My buddies run the skidoo 1000 and walk away at 90mph from mine.
This drives me crazy, and just wondering if anyone has a fix for this problem? I've heard something about a gear set 68/52 ???

Before adding anything, have you checked all the basics like
clutch alignment, belt to sheeve clearence, shift-out and fuel pressure, etc.
It helps to verify everything you can before you start with mods..

Stock gears are good for ABOUT 124 with 25% overdrive...FULL shift. Guys are running that. If you can't run that on ice you have a clutch issue or something else.

The BIG gears....68/52 are good for about 135 mph and that sled will never do that stock....BUT those gears would make the clutches run more efficiently in less overdrive...in theory.
