I have a 1994 EFI Prowler. I have 38lbs of pressure on the fuel line at the fuel rail is that correct? And should the pressure stay in the line after the pump shuts off or does it leak down.

The pressure should be 36 psi and it should stay for a good long while after the pump stops. Now ride the sled and open the throttle full and see if the pressure falls. It should not fall at all if the pump is good. I think you gauge just reads a little high.

Pressure drops as soon as the pump cycles off. Is there a check valve in the pump or some where that keeps the fuel pressure.
