Hey guys, got snow finally and bang speedo quit so i rolled the sled up on its side and yep the shaft is loose.

Do you have to take apart the chain case or can you just remove the bearing flange and bearing lock and move it over enough to get the outside flange off and then side the bearing off and replace it or is it the long way. I have put new tracks on before so i know how to take apart the chain case just don't want too. You Know>>>>

Thanks

If the shaft is loose you may be lucky that the bearing broke apart and you can just pull the speedo fitting off and loosen the lock and pull out the pieces and slide a new one into place (buddy had that happen last year). If not I would just pull the whole shaft, would probably be quicker than trying to jockey it around in place.
