I know the electric start version has a battery, but I was wondering if the non-electric start version was still completely battery less? The specs still say "battery less" fuel injection, but I would imagine the new oil pump will require a battery?

If thats the case, the electric start version is a no-brainier, IMO.

I would think that there is not, once the recoil is pulled there is power being created, so it would energize the oil pump one would think.

No battery on non Electric start sleds. Batteryless means battery less.

^^^ stated correctly, if you ever noticed how when you pull the recoil the head and tail light come on whether it starts or not, power is energizing the system, therefor the oil pump "should" be energized as well.

should be enough left over oil in the crankcase for the startup
