i'm rebuilding my 99 zr700 with boyesen reeds, d&d pipes and matching d&d clutch kit, and gutted airbox, but i have access to a milling machine, and i was wondering how much it would help this engine to mill the heads, and if you think i should do it how much do you think i should mill off to run 91-93 octane? Thanks

Milling the heads will help you a little if it is done correctly. For a good trail application and still use
pump gas I would take .012 to .014 max.

no it will not hurt gas mileage. it may help if you stay out of the throttle :super_happy: like that will happen. also make sure the dome of the piston does not contact the milled head surface.
