I currently own a '04 F-6 sno-pro carbthat I bought for $6500 new in '05. I do a lot of river riding and off trail riding. Other than a siezure at 800 miles that was covered by warranty, I have logged 3000 pretty trouble free miles. I can right now by a '05 f-7 ext 144x1.25x13.5 for $6500 or a '06 crossfire 700 136x1.25x15. I really like the narrow track and the agility that goes along with it. Any feedback will be much appreciated.

I thin 6500 for that 05 F7 ext is kinda pricey, its two years old. Is it used or is it a leftover? If you are happy with your sled I would consider longtracking it before either of the other options.

That's a tough call.

I would think the gearing could be a deciding factor.

Isn't the Xfire geared more towards the M (less top end, more low/midragnd).

I would say if you ride off trail more than 50% or spend most of your time between 50 and 75mph, then get the Xfire.
If you ride on trails more than 50% and like to ride between 70 and 100, I'd get the Firecat.

Makes me wonder what I would buy if I was in the market, a Xfire 1000 or a F1000 EXT. Do they even make a F1000 Ext?

The prices I quoted were for new machines. But I bought a used sled today, A '06 crossfire 700 with 180 miles and cover for $5500. It was the first sled the guy owned since he was 10 and it was to much. He decided he was more of a four wheeler guy.
