Hi as you can see im new hear, i have been creeping for a while and have been inpressed with this forum.

My question is I pulled one of my jugs on my 02 mountian cat 600 and did not drain the coolant out of the block first so the coolant went into the crackcase. I let it sit for a while waiting for parts. If i suck all the coolant out of the crankcase will the engine be ok or is the coolant harmfull to the seals, bearings and such?

Thanks in advance for the advice.

I also got some coolant in the case of my 800 and used a shop vac to clean it out on recommendation from ZR sled head. This worked great!!! Next time you have it down, use the shop vac to evacuate the system before you pull the heads and cylinders. It is quick, easy and gets it all out. NO coolant in the crankcase next time! I cleaned mine out that night and coated all the metal and bearing with the same oil used in my injection tank. (AMS OIL). This worked great and the sled is running very good. Good luck.

I did this before, and the shop vac works awesome as you stated.
