I have a 98 zr 500. The secondary clutch seems to be rusted to the shaft. It wont come off for nothing. Any tricks to removing it without distroying it. I havent had it off for a couple of years!

PB Blaster... leave the hammer in the tool box where it belongs... wiggle it ... more PB Blaster... wiggle it... let it sit... more PB Blaster... etc.

Perhaps some more experienced sled mechanics her on A-Chat have a better solution?

There was just a post on this.

Try lots of penetrating oil and a puller. You can make one yourself just don't use a 3 jaw and try pulling on the outside of the sheaves.
