I was riding my sled 1990 artic cat ext first real ride and as soon as I get it going up to speed I hear what sounds like a beaver smacking its tail on the water and its evenly spaced out so I'm guessing its from something that's on a revolution... After about a half hour it goes away and the sled runs mint all day! Think I could be low on chaincase oil? Would that make that sound?

Ice in the chaincase from condensation. Open the case and check for water?
