Was wondering if the ECU controls the charging ang the seconday pulse (Discharge) for the CDI. What purpose does the 3 wire pigtail from the stator to the CDI serve?

The ECU is supplying the 12 volt source and the 4 volt pulse, so what is the CDI looking for the stator for?

Just wondering if anybody knew.

This would apply to all early Arctic Cat EFI sleds with a battery.

Thanks

In my experience from looking at the wiring diagrams this summer I'd say there are multiple voltages supplied to the ECU from the stator. Seems they want to have a consistent power source to the ECU. I believe that the tech manual states something like that as well. As for the exact wiring you mention you'll have to post your model and year if you are looking for deeper technical info. (if it's even available anymore)
