i have the same problem
i broke the bolts on the 1st one
the 2nd one bolt broke off the center in the crank snout
i drilled that out and removed the engine
gonna take it to have a shop do it
damn not gonna be able to ride this weekend
I bought the expensive puller from hi performance engineering. It cost 55 bucks, but I have not had a problem yet getting a flywheel off. It is recessed enough that you bolt the puller tight to the flywheel so you do have 1 or 2 bolts taking more strain than the others. one 1 1/8 wrench on the puller and one on the puller bolt and they pop off with very little force at all.
