02 600 EFI PULLER KEEPS BREAKIN THE BOLTS when i try to get the flywheel off ive never had one come off that hard whats the trick

i have the same problem
i broke the bolts on the 1st one
the 2nd one bolt broke off the center in the crank snout
i drilled that out and removed the engine
gonna take it to have a shop do it
damn not gonna be able to ride this weekend

I bought the expensive puller from hi performance engineering. It cost 55 bucks, but I have not had a problem yet getting a flywheel off. It is recessed enough that you bolt the puller tight to the flywheel so you do have 1 or 2 bolts taking more strain than the others. one 1 1/8 wrench on the puller and one on the puller bolt and they pop off with very little force at all.

^^^Yup steering wheel puller with hardened bolts. Never had a problem with that setup. Taken like 8 off like that. make sure its perfectly centered.

thanks guys ill try some hardend bolts my local ace hardware isnt the best for metric selection

Snug the puller up and gently tap around the shaft of the puller. Make sure its not hard enough to ruin anything but it will come right off.
