The tether switch and key ignition dont work on my 03 f5. The sled still runs great but i have to turn it off and on with the kill switch now. I really would like to get this working again so i can use the tether cord. I checked all the connections too.

bang your head did it work previously or bought that way?? reason I ask is when I got my 04 f7 the tether didn't work, well it helps if its wired in. but thats just the beginning it also helps if you have the right one. open or closed to run circuit. but I will also tell you the kill button and key ignition are not on same series they are wired independant. your tether probably ties in with the key circuit.

It all worked fine when i got it. it worked 4 the first few hundred miles then just stopped. Any ideas?

follow the wires from backside of panel and see if one (or both) have just possibly come un-plugged, if not, let us know

They're still puged in. I pushed them in stlightly just 2 make sure but it still wont work.

bypass it run the wire from the tether right to the ignition. I had an issue with mine too.

My problem was the only way i could shut the engine off was by turning the key. The kill switch did not work.

I bypassed the wire and now works like a charm. I didnt want the cord anyways...

but how do i fix it? My tach and speedometer turn on and off at low rpm too. Do i just need a new ecu??

How do i at least get the tethercord working?? Some guy at the radar run had his sled land on him but the track and spikes kept spinning and tore off his skin and muscle down to the bone. He didnt have a tether cord. bang your head

have you tested the tether to see if it is stuck? take an ohm metet and see if it opens/closes upon derpresion of button I had one stickclosed wouldn't shut off.

its not suck i tried it. Do u guys have any help on how 2 fix it? its deffinitley a bad circit. both the key and tether r broken. how do i fix the circut or whatever? new ECU???

The idle is too low, this is probably why your tach keeps going off and on, doesn't produce enough power at that low an idle to power it

Do you have an OHMS meter? you will HAVE to have this to do some tests. See iff you have continuity when the key switch is turned off and on. Then do the same to the tether. take reading when it's plugged in and take readings when it's taken out
