I was putting the 700 away last night and the damn shift lever came off in my hand. It was held on with two badly done little tack welds. A new one with what I'm assuming would be the same bad quality is 26 bucks plus shipping. I asked a friend from work to try and weld i back together for me. After about five minutes of cleaning and welding and a shot of black rubberized paint she is good as new. Better than new actually since the two little crappy tack welds are now a continuous weld between the two pieces. It works great and takes very little work.
