Gents,

Has anyone tried the BMP torsional clutch kit on their 6000? I'm trying to help out a friend.. He's not happy with it's stock clutching performance otherwise he loves the sled.. I've had great results with the BMP kit on my 800 but I don't want to point him in that direction if it's not proven on the 6000.

Thanks

I put a Hercules Helix with lighter spring in mine, reshimmed the primary and installed Heavy Hitters.
I used torsional conversion for years on Diamond Drives, if I don't like this new stuff I wouldn't hesitate to take it out and go torsional on the 6000

ANYTHING's better that this stock ****....! My friend Mark (Woody's traction owner) '12 800 has already had to have both, a new primary and a new secondary as a direct result of the crappy stock clutching wearing out the sheaves faces due to belt slippage up front creating too much belt heat that then lead to rear sheaves getting nearly "blued"....

He had me install the speedwerx kit they recommended for it (non-torsional).... We will see how things go... I highly suggested a STM torsional secondary but he wanted to go the lesser of two evils ($$) way FIRST....
I do prefer torsional over all the compression/encapsuled secondaries, however I also found the TEAM can allow more overdrive for up top to work hand in hand with lower grg for massive gains in acceleration throughout..... All this without having to replace half of the unit every other year....
