CF1000 in the mountains this weekend, blowing up belts, you can cook an egg on the clutches, any ideas on how to get the heat out?

First thing I would do to it is add a SLP Flowrite in the ski well and a vent on the removable side panel. 2Cool4U makes a really good vent. Put one on my XFire 700; clutches are cool to the touch now.

Were you clutched properly? Are your clutches allined properly? There are the first plasces to start when you are having clutch heat issues.

Yea, I agree with 6Mile; before you fork out the $$ on vents check out your clutching. However, the vents will keep you clutches even cooler if there is a problem and you fix it.
