There is also a guy called Old Cat Man he has a real nice set I run He is also on the Krom site
about bent tunnels. I'll attach pics
The pic of the support was taken before I installed them, they are just sitting on the sled. I will say the one from erie power only has a 90 degree bent to them, so I took them to a machine shop in town and had them bent to 110 degrees. They fit perfect. The ones Krom are nice ones also.xfire rod, Why isn't the support sitting/resting on the floorboard ?. I could see the gap which could cause some potential damage underneath. IMO, I personally believe that the support should be attached to the tunnel and floorboard to prevent any further damage. Erie Power's a nice store and have spoken with a nice fella by the name of Todd as I have been there twice when I was on my way visiting my Uncle in Newark.
AB
Has anybody actually put the AC tunnel supports on? They appear to go inside the tunnel but there is a major problem. The heat exchanger pipe runs up in the top of the tunnel. If you drop the heat exchanger pipe down to get the brace in all of the holes for the heat exchanger pipe will be out of place by the thickness of the support brace. If you don't drop them out of the way the short end of the brace will have to rest along the bottom of the heat exchanger pipe.I haven't put them on yet, but I got the AC ones. They go inside and surround where the bulkhead connects to the tunnel, leaving no weakpoint. I considered Kroms but the don't work with the bulkhead and still leave a space of weakness were the bend is happening. They would be better if they were cut to go around the front clip
