hey guys i was just wondering what the best upgrade for a 1998 zl 500 would be. im just gettin a little sick of it not being as snappy as i would like it, anything would help.thanksI dunno

a cluth rebuild and clutch kit will get it going again and re jetting it is also cheap, just don't go to lean

i already re jetted the sled has 340 mains instead of 360 if im correctI dunno and somthing cheap to get me a little more power

and what do u suggest for a clutch different weight and springs or a clutch kit ? and if clutch kit i have heard d&d but anyotheerss ?

and also the motor only has 100 miles on it rebuilt from top to bottom

pilot jet thats where you get your snappyness <----- fancy word and if its new might want to stick around the stock main jet maybe one size smaller but ya stiffer primary spring maybe a gram or .5 bigger weights notched put your secondary spring in the 4th hole ied start with that

let me tell you something about modifying.

you can only pick two of the following three things.

Fast

Reliable

Cheap.

if you want fast and reliable, it wont be cheap.
if you want reliable and cheap, it wont be fast
if you want fast and cheap it wont be reliable.

Just something to think about.
