I would guess it had to be put there due to the fact that you cannot put a TCL on this engine due to the exhaust location and that the sled was designed for engine movement with the jackshaft. If you let this motor design move that way the exhaust would end up getting very, VERY close to the track and studded would be a disaster.
Does the frame twist a lot under high load? Not sure what a TCL is.

On Cats other engines, the TCL (torque control link) is connected to the engine and to the Jackshaft. The jackshaft has special bearings that allow the shaft to pivot slightly with the engine which allows the drive and driven clutches to be in perfect alignment all the time. No frame twisting that I know of. Chassis is much stiffer than the previous Twinspar which was pretty ridged to begin with. In theory the TCL should make belts last longer but there has been issues with the drive and driven clutches on some of the cats in 012 and 013 causing some people to try to re design the entire sled. The Yami motor does not allow for a TCL because of the rear facing exhaust.
go to the dealer and look at a zr or xf 7000. it will have the same bar
You need a pic inside the front tunnel or in the engine compartment?

I hope these pics help some.

I assume you are talking about the heavier plate across the front of the tunnel with the motor mounts.
