Are any of you running the Amsoil chaincase and gear lube in their diamond drives? The Amsoil website description for the product shows it also being used in the diamond drive. I’ve only used the Arctic cat act fluid as called out in the manual. Any info?

Hey FF;

I used the Cat oil in my Z1 and had 6000 on it with no problems. Now I've got a 14 which of course has a different chain case. On that one I fill double the amount of oil and add a little amsoil chain and gear lube. It is more sticky if you will and helps retain oil on the all important top gear and chain. On yours regular cleaning of the DD was paramount to long life. Just changing the oil wont work you have to crack the cases.

Hope this helps, Teamgreen

Why use anything other than the Cat fluid and flush? It's cheap enough and well proven. I put 15,000 miles on my first DD and am closing on 14,000 miles on my second one. Both boosted turbos, and I have never once split the case. Just drain, flush and new fluid each year.
