Both my 700 EFI Firecat (04) and Sabercat (05) are starting to get cracks on their intake boots. I couldn't believe it when I found out that replacements from Arctic Cat run nearly $80 each...(ouch!)

Anyone had success using aftermarket boots from Nachman ($17 each) or any other alternative out there?

I'd hate to pay more than $320 for the good OEM quality boots if there is something just as good for a much more affordable price.

Everyone keeps asking this question but no one knows an answer. Try them and let us know how they work out !

I searched this forum last weekend for the same topic and didn't come up with a single good answer either. If anyone tried, they haven't shared it.

I guess it won't hurt to try out one cheap set and see how they hold up. You might not get an update on my success or failure until late into the winter.

after market boots are molded rubber that bolts the engine.

OEM is rubber over an aluminum plate that bolts to the engine.

This is why the OEM boots cost more and work way better. The after markets will get hot and start flexing.
