I think that's the way some of them are on the non ZR models with longer springs. They shouldn't rub tho. Blocks will wear out and get sloppy.
EDIT:
Oops, just noticed it is a ZR, I guess the newer ones use the tall blocks.

On my 04 900, when the blocks wear at that bolt area they bend outward and hit the spring holder and wheel. The inside side of that wheel wears the rubber off then. What needs to be done is to replace the plastic blocks and the aluminum spacer inside the bolt area. They both wear out and need replacing from time to time. Just got my new ones for mine a couple weeks ago. Going to put them on in the spring/summer/fall maint season. I also put a extra spacer on the wheel (there's only one there) and with two of them it helps to hold the wheel out a bit further as well.
