AM 2 different ones and it ran no better than with the old original one. It will idle and throttle up part way but hits a point where it just acts like its starving for fuel. I have cleaned the petcock and lines. I have read a lot of threads on this machine and one issue was the magnets coming loose on the flywheel. would that cause it to cut out or would it not run at all if that is whats wrong??
Usually there’s issues with AM carbs. Never heard of a 300 flywheel magnet issue, only 400’s from 03-06. Test voltage at idle and when you rev it. It should remain a constant 14.2 or so volts. A bad voltage regulator can do what your experiencing.
Tom Geezy, any updates? I'm dealing with the same issue on the same bike. 660catman, I checked my voltage at idle, but didn't rev and check at the same time. It will only rev up a little. Maybe that is my issue. I will check to see if it maintains voltage as revs increase.
Long read but please hang in there
Came to me with no spark while cranking except when you let off it would spark once, the stator wires were rubbed through so changed it and noticed an updated flywheel already (noice!) but now still no spark,
Pickup coil gives me good readings from 1-5 volts...
I have a 2016 arctic cat 700 TRV SE bike and I’ve done all modifications myself and it’s always hell finding parts for it. But now I need to replace my front axles and I need help finding some to buy! Please help and show me where I can get some as I have a ride coming up. Thank you
Just a quick questions.. I have a 400 Core 4x4 2014 articat with 2000kms on it and I noticed when it is sitting idle I hear a bit of rattling coming from the right side of my engine and it tends to go away when I am driving it... I had it in the shop and they said they took the side...
I have a 2010 550 h1. Won't start cold.. plug is wet when I take it out. Put in a dry plug, fires right up. Will start just fine while engine is still warm. But after sitting for a few hours, will do the same thing. Put in new injector, still does it.
