Hey guys looking for some info, not my sled just trying to help a guy out.We were out yesterday and his sled suddenly stopped.Tried to pull start it and couldn't.You can turn it a bit with the clutch but then seems to get stuck or locked.Pulled the plugs and they both move up and down.Would or could the recoil not allow the sled to turnover or should we check something else out?

Chances are a ring went and it is stuck in a port. You will nedd topull the heads andlook into it. You can try pulling the rewind, but I doubt you will find your issue there. Worst case scenario you lost a crank bearing.

Guess i shoulda said both pistons move up and down, for the small amount you can turn the engine. So could it still be a ring?

Something bad happened, Ring, broken piston skirt, wrist pin. Could be a number of things. You will need to disassemble it to find out.

It turned out to be a connecting rod bearing.Need new pot, piston, rings ,gasket.etc. Crank seems to be ok.
