Hello all. Just found this site and can only say AWESOME!

I just bought a 97 Powder Extreme cheap and rebuilt the motor with all new parts (cylinders, crankshaft etc). Previous owner was having problems with it burning pistons so I threw the Altitude Compensator in the bush as it was the likely culprit. Question I have is, now that my sled is basically a ZRT 600, what main jets should I be running at my altitude of 2200 feet? I have put in 310's with 30 primaries. Is this about right or too lean?

Also what is the max RPM I should be getting or at least is safe mechanically wise?

I know 360 mains come stock in a 600 ZRT. I am running 330's now in central minnesota. Have stock triple pipes and a D&C silencer. I think thats what the silencer is called. Also have removed the airbox and installed seperate air cleaners, K & N. Just check your plugs often to get it where you want it.

I would not be afriad to run it up to 8700 with the right setup. Just my thought. thats where mine is about. Pulls really hard. I also dropped a tooth on each gear.

Good luck tuning
